October 3, 2006 Board Meeting Agenda Item #16 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #7013 FOR FIRE ALARM INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICE Description Bids to provide 'Fire Alarm Inspection and Maintenance Service' were received from two vendors on September 12, 2006.  The bid of Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. is the best low bid meeting the advertised specifications.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget allocated to the Telecom Department. Recommendation That the bid of Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. to provide 'Fire Alarm Inspection and Maintenance Service' in an amount not to exceed $930,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
